Children's Sessions

This session is for individual children 2 years and older for siblings/groups with babies that sit well on their own, toddlers and kids. Session can take place in the studio, outdoors or at your home for a very "Homestyle" feel.

I do prefer to photograph children individually and to give each child their own session. This often works best for kids giving them their own time to be themselves and relax with no pressure from siblings. I feel you can get the most out of your session this way. This allows me to focus on one child at a time and make the session all about them! My style works very well with this. However, I do understand the need for photographing siblings and groups, so I do offer sessions that include more than one subject.

With my sessions, make it all about them and their personality! Let them be themselves and relax. No pressure to pose, sit and smile. You get more out of your session this way and cooperation is usually a little better. Sessions are less posed and very relaxed and in the moment. I will do a few relaxed posed shots, looking at the camera, but that is not the goal for the entire session. Sessions are fun and full of interaction. Session includes individual shots and group shots. I cannot always guarantee both, this will all depend on cooperation.

I love sessions that include activities! We can have ice cream, a tea party, hang out by the pool, the sandbox, the sprinkler, feed the chickens, play with the puppies or anything else we can think of! Please let me know at booking if you are planning this type of session so we can plan accordingly. This type of session is perfect for very active kiddos that just want to have fun!

You can also just keep it simple and let their personality shine! Show off their personality, the things they love, their style and just who they are! Make it all about them!

Priority availability with sunset options. Outdoor or outdoor home sessions take place Monday, Tuesday and Thursday evenings about an hour before sunset (Golden hour).

Studio or in home sessions take place weekday mornings and early afternoons.

Travel fees may apply if outside the Kankakee/Iroquois area. *I only travel for Luxe sessions. Contact me to see if I travel to your area!

Kids Session

Single Subjects $300 / 2-7 subjects $365

The luxe session includes everything you need in a session. This sessions has more time and will include more in the moment shots and grouping options. This session also gives more time to each individual child so they can go at their own pace to get the most out of the session and make sure they do not feel rushed. We can slow down a bit and take our time! I take a very relaxed natural approach to the session and do not focus on poses and smiling at the camera. I try to keep it real and simple. Let them be them selves!

We can do simple activities at your session like a picnic, tea party, include balloons or I have a closet with princess inspired dresses you can use.

This is recommended for families that will have children between the ages of 6 months - 5 years of age.

Homestyle Kids Session $450

Homestyle sessions are great for the family that wants something a little more personal, intimate and unique. More focus on the story! This session is very relaxed and much like the Luxe session give is time to slow down and tells a story. This session is very unique since it takes place in or at your home. This helps kids feel comfortable and relaxed. Capturing your life as it is!!! This is your family in their element, enjoying each other! There is no stress for posing or sitting still. I want you to do your thing, enjoying our time together.

Your session can take place in your home with your family doing what they do! Maybe you like to dance and sing, play games, eat snacks or cook!

Your session can also take place outdoors at your home. Maybe in the garden, feeding the chickens, playing with the dog or cats, going for a walk or just playing in the yard.

Your home doesn't need to be fancy, just needs to be all about you! We can talk more about the location in or around your home that work best for this session.

This session embraces your family, in the moment as it is. this one can be a little on the moody side.

Outdoor sessions take place Monday, Tuesday and Thursday evenings about an hour or so before sunset. In home sessions take place weekday mornings.

Looking for something smaller?

Looking for something a bit smaller? I often offer kids minis through out the year. These are much smaller sometimes themed or more traditional in posing. Still very relaxed but less in the moment.
