What is a Mini?

I love to do holiday mini's through out the year as well as a few themed mini's for a certain age group and style!  These are a bit more posed, themed and include props more than my usual sessions.  I even provide wardrobe for a few of them!  I offer several themed mini's through out the year and gear a few around holidays like Valentine's Day, Easter, Halloween and Christmas.  

A Mini is a small session, with less time, usually themed and geared towards a certain age group or family.  Mini's include a set number of images with the option to purchase more.  These are scheduled one right after another on specific date(s) and location.  This is what keeps them lower cost and quick.  

Mini's are best for kids that are not shy and can take a little direction.  Sometimes best for single subjects for cooperation and time.  With limited time in this session cooperation is key.  I do stay firm on time allotted for sessions.  There are no refunds or extended time given for uncooperative children.  

Mini's are the most popular type of session due to time and price. But these are not always the best choice for every family or child.  Shorter time and lower price is very appealing to most clients but this does not always offer the needs for your family.  some kids need time to warm up and settle in.  Some kids need breaks and some that are very free spirited, it takes time to get what I need.  A mini does not offer the time it takes for this.  Sometimes the bigger session is necessary to accommodate their needs. 

LAST MINUTE BOOKING- This is a mini that cannot be booked ahead of time.  These are usually scheduled last minute because the theme of the mini is based on flowers blooming.  Since that is different every year, it is hard to predict.  Once the flowers are almost ready, I will open bookings and they spots will be limited and tend to fill fast.  Flowers only bloom for a short period of time and there is always weather to work around.
